You may have noticed the Breast Cancer Awareness banner above has changed. I've decided to
keep a banner which encourages cancer awareness indefinitely for a few reasons. Reasons that include,
the importance of testing and awareness, and in response to recent events in my life and in the lives of my friends.
Cancer can be a devastating disease which intrudes and can crumble anyone's life without notice. None of us are immune
to cancer or its effects. Until the medical/science community find a permanent cure for all types of cancer, how can we not keep
the topics of testing and awareness in the forefront.
Although, at any given time, the banner may change as to the type of cancer it covers, the importance of getting tested for cancers
is a necessity for every one of us. Take the time to be tested, to be aware. Cancer is not one of those things that will go away
because you choose to ignore it. Protect yourself, family, friends, neighbors and co-workers; because, cancer
affects all of us. ◼
